What To Expect…

On a trip with Captain Matt, you will explore the back country, ultra shallow marshland of the Galveston Bay Complex. Red fish are sight casted when water and weather conditions allow, using only artificial lures, light tackle or fly gear. The Captain runs a 2023 Sabine Versatile technical poling skiff capable of comfortably fishing two anglers per trip. Water, life vests, sunscreen, mosquito spray, lures and light tackle rods & reels are provided. You need a current fishing license, polarized sunglasses, and any snacks you might desire during your trip. The captain has space in his cooler. Dress in a manner that protects you from the sun and weather conditions while allowing maximum mobility and comfort. Captain Matt practices catch and release only.
